Все-таки небольшое знание композиции и композиторов помогает в решении.
Так 1. 46-41 я отбросил не потому, что там мало возможностей, а потому что такой бой, как 2...23х32х21х12 Зубов бы себе не позволил.

To everybody who is interested in the points discussed by Mr. Andreev at the Shaski site 19-07-2006, regarding the PWCE.
First of all I appreciate very much that Mr. Andreev contributes to find a good solution for the PWCE. That is exactly what the FMJD wants, to find a good way for the participants to complete the PWCE.
However, I have to explain a few things to Mr. Andreev.
First of all, the FMJD will find a way to complete the PWCE as good as possible and the new World Champion will be the right one as will be clear at the moment that the final results will be published.
As far as I can see from the preliminary results the new World Champion will not be me. As President of the CPI and member of the Executive Board of the FMJD I am happy about that.
I consider it far more important that the final result will be acceptable and can be explained to everybody. That was the main reason that we tried to convince the jury to change their attitude.
Another thing that has to be made clear is that Mr. Hildring and I are not acting on a personal basis. The supervision of the committees, of which the CPI is one, is delegated to the Executive Vice President and as President of the CPI I have a responsibility for the PWCE.
However, both Mr. Hidring and I have to explain everything we do (not only concerning the CPI!) to all the other members of the Executive Board (CD) of the FMJD in a formal meeting.
Mr. Andreev writes about a meeting of the CPI in September, but the meeting I refer to above is the meeting of the Executive Board in Bovec, Slovenia in September.
Concerning the PWCE we will consult the remaining member of the jury and the contact in order to find the best way to proceed and we will prepare a proposal for the Executive Board in September, such that the final results can be published very shortly after that.
When Mr. Shkludov and Mr. Mackevicius accept to follow the FMJD policy and are willing to cooperate to find a good solution, we will listen to them as well.
Elements of the solution Mr. Andreev gives are appreciated and in line with the direction we have in mind, but we will consult the jury and the contact.
One remark of Mr. Andreev might lead to confusion, so though it is only a detail concerning the PWCE I will give some explanation here as well.
Mr. Andreev says that the opinion of Mr. Shkludov to eliminate the end game he mentions was formally right. This was a case where the two other jury members after discussion with Mr. Shkludov did not agree with his opinion and accepted the end game. Finally Mr. Céron asked the CPI to take a decision. Before giving my own opinion I asked the other two CPI members to give their opinion.
Finally everybody except Mr. Shkludov accepted the end game concerned.
The reason for that is very clear elimination of this end game is against the rules. When Mr. Andreev says that in an official WC the rules have to be applied strictly, that is exactly what happened in this case. A very detailed explanation is available, but the usual way is to send remarks to the contact, who will inform the jury members.
Though it is not applicable for this particular end game, it is also worth mentioning that when the rules are not fully clear in a specific case the FMJD policy is that the participant should have the benefit the of the doubt. Also as CPI President I want to defend the rights of the participants.
I hope Mr. Andreev appreciates this explanation; anyway I thank Mr. Andreev for his positive contribution.
